Permission

Copyright is a form of protection provided to the authors of “original works” and includes such things as literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual creations, both published and unpublished. Copyright does not protect ideas. It only protects the specific and original expression of the idea. This is a copy of the email I sent, asking for property right permission to Mark Crossingham, the managing director of Island Records (the record label for Mumford and Sons), for us to use their song. The email was sent in order for us prevent breaking copyright laws.
